The present writ petition is filed by a person (“Petitioner”) who was once convicted of an offence under Section 417 and 376 of the Indian Penal Code (“IPC”) and was sentenced by trial court vide judgment dated 29.09.2011. But in the year 2014, the petitioner was acquitted of all the charges in the appeal before the High Court vide Judgment dated 30.04.2011. The judgment became publicly available on the High Court website after the acquittal.
