A Division bench of the Supreme Court of India (SC) has recently in its judgment dated 09.05.2023 in the case of M/s. Shree Vishnu Constructions v. The Engineer in Chief Military Engineering Service & Ors., (2023) 8 Supreme Court Cases 329 has expounded on the issue of the relevant date for determining the applicability of the provisions amended under Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Act, 2015 (Amendment Act, 2015) in an application filed for the appointment of arbitrators.
